New Jersey S1396 requires the Director of the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of the Treasury to create and maintain a list of prescription drugs, devices, and biological products prioritized for bulk purchasing. The director will consider factors such as drug price, availability of therapeutic alternatives, and the 25 highest-cost products from the prior year. The list will be reviewed annually and posted online. The director will also develop outreach efforts for county and local governments and private purchasers to benefit from these arrangements.
