Expands eligibility for gross income tax credit to family caregivers of certain armed service members with physical disabilities.

The Wounded Warrior Caregivers Relief Act expands eligibility for a gross income tax credit to family caregivers of certain armed service members with physical disabilities. Caregivers must be related to the service member within the third degree or closer and reside in New Jersey. The credit is equal to 100 percent of the federal veteran disability compensation for which the caregiver renders care or $675, whichever is less. The bill applies to taxable years beginning on or after January 1 of the year following enactment.
