New Jersey S1339 prohibits state and local rules banning fossil fuel-powered kitchen appliances.

New Jersey S1339 prohibits state agencies, counties, and municipalities from adopting rules or ordinances that ban the installation or use of fossil fuel-powered kitchen appliances, such as natural gas-powered ovens or stoves, provided they comply with federal and state regulations. The bill does not affect voluntary incentive programs for electric kitchen appliances. This act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
