New Jersey S1336, the "Uniform Electronic Wills Act," establishes rules for electronic wills. It defines an electronic will as a record readable as text at the time of signing, signed by the testator or another individual in their presence and by their direction, and either signed by at least two witnesses or acknowledged by a notary public. The act allows electronic wills to revoke previous wills and mandates that they be under the exclusive control of a custodian.
