New Jersey S1327 expands the EDA small business loan program to include broadband telecommunications service providers.

New Jersey S1327 expands the small business loan program administered by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) to include certain broadband telecommunications service providers. These providers must be certified by the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to offer broadband telecommunications service within rural areas of the state. The bill defines "broadband telecommunications service provider" as a person, business, corporation, unincorporated association, partnership, or professional corporation certified by the BPU.
