New Jersey S1273 aims to provide the same benefits to members and certain retirees of the Teachers’ Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF) as those who enrolled in the retirement system before July 1, 2007. The bill makes employees of public employers who earn more than the minimum salary but do not meet the minimum hour eligibility requirements eligible for TPAF enrollment. Employers must process this enrollment within two months of the bill's enactment.
