New Jersey S1223 requires landlords of residential or nonresidential buildings renting space to child care services providers to install and maintain point-of-use water filters certified by an accredited third-party certification body to meet NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53. This applies if the landlord denies a public community water system access to the property-owner side of a lead service line for the purposes of enabling the complete replacement of the lead service line.
