Introduced Text

New Jersey S1191 mandates disclosure of total ticket costs, including fees, and restricts price increases during online purchases.

New Jersey S1191 establishes requirements for fee disclosure and limits on fees for certain ticket sales. It mandates that sellers and resellers disclose the total cost of a ticket, including all ancillary fees, in a clear and conspicuous manner. If a ticket is sold through a website, the total cost must be displayed before the ticket is selected for purchase. The bill also prohibits price increases during the purchase process, except for reasonable delivery fees for non-electronic tickets.
