New Jersey S1134 offers free tuition at public institutions of higher education for surviving spouses and dependent children of military personnel killed in the line of duty. Eligible students must be residents of New Jersey and enrolled in state colleges, universities, or county colleges. The scholarship covers tuition costs not already covered by other state aid. Surviving spouses can receive benefits for up to eight years from the date of the service member's death, while dependent children can receive benefits for up to eight years after high school graduation.
