New Jersey S1108 mandates that hospitals with maternity departments must maintain Baby-Friendly and Mother-Friendly designations to continue.

New Jersey S1108 requires hospitals offering inpatient maternity services to maintain both Baby-Friendly and Mother-Friendly designations from Baby-Friendly USA and the Improving Birth Coalition, respectively. This requirement will take effect two years after the bill's enactment. Hospitals must meet these standards to continue providing inpatient maternity services.
