This bill amends the temporary disability insurance and family leave insurance benefits in New Jersey. It extends temporary disability insurance and family leave insurance benefits to employees providing care for family members due to a public health emergency or state of emergency. It also extends family leave insurance benefits to care needed because of certain exigencies arising out of active military service. The bill provides that an employee's statement that they or a family member is a victim of domestic or sexual violence is sufficient documentation in a claim for benefits.
