Permits municipalities with populations under 2,500 to rescind civil service adoption by ordinance.

This bill allows municipalities with populations under 2,500 to rescind the adoption of Title 11A, Civil Service, of the New Jersey Statutes by ordinance. If rescinded, the municipality cannot readopt these provisions for at least five years. The rescission takes effect six months after the ordinance is passed. The New Jersey Civil Service Commission will create regulations to implement these provisions.
