New Jersey S105 provides tax credits for developers and owners who construct or retrofit buildings to meet green building standards.

The "Green Building Tax Credit Act" provides tax credits for developers and owners who design and construct buildings or retrofit existing buildings to meet certain green building criteria. The credits apply to corporation business tax, gross income tax, and certain other specified taxes. The Department of Community Affairs, in consultation with the Department of Environmental Protection and the Division of Taxation, will adopt standards for green building criteria, which will be reviewed and updated every two years.
