The bill establishes a task force on missing women and girls who are Black, Indigenous, or people of color. The task force will develop policy recommendations for first responders, create training and education materials for BIPOC communities, and identify traffic hubs and highways that facilitate abductions. It will also recommend strategies for collecting and analyzing data on missing and murdered BIPOC women and girls, and create a public awareness campaign. The task force will report its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature within 18 months.
