Introduced Text

New Jersey ACR95 proposes a constitutional amendment to require the Governor to certify State revenue estimates in accordance with the State Revenue.

New Jersey ACR95 proposes a constitutional amendment to change how the Governor certifies State revenue estimates for a balanced budget. Currently, the Governor has sole discretion over this certification. The amendment would require the Governor to certify revenue estimates in accordance with the published estimate of the State Revenue Forecasting Integrity Commission. This commission, to be established by law, will publish an annual estimate of State revenues on hand and anticipated to support a balanced State budget and supplemental appropriations.
