New Jersey ACR26 proposes to amend the State Constitution to permit sports wagering on all college sport or athletic events. Currently, the State Constitution prohibits wagering on any college sport or athletic event that takes place in New Jersey or in which a New Jersey college team participates. This amendment would allow the Legislature to pass laws permitting wagering on any college sport or athletic event, including those in which a team from a college located in New Jersey participates. The amendment would permit wagering through casinos and current or former horse racetracks.
