New Jersey A995 ensures continued employment for physicians diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

New Jersey A995, known as the "New Jersey Physicians Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Protection Act," mandates that employers cannot discharge, harass, discriminate, retaliate, or threaten any such action against an employee who took or requested leave related to a qualifying diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder. Employers must reinstate such employees upon their fitness to return to work, as documented by a licensed physician or licensed mental health professional.
