New Jersey A858 prohibits public institutions of higher education from requiring vaccinations against COVID-19 or monkeypox for students who attend remotely. This means that if a student does not have any in-person presence on the premises of the institution, the school cannot mandate these vaccinations as a condition of admission or continued enrollment. The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
