Permits 30-calendar day extension to cure period for certain businesses to address and resolve certain violations.

Chamber Passed·3/23/26

Permits 30-calendar day extension to cure period for certain businesses to address and resolve certain violations.

This bill amends the timeframe of cure periods for certain businesses to address and resolve certain violations. It allows a State agency, department, or authority to extend the 60-calendar day cure period an additional 30 calendar days for a business if not providing the extension would be contrary to equity and good conscience. The bill applies to first-time violations that do not result in significant adverse impact to public safety or welfare, loss of income or benefits to an employee, or risk of environmental harm.
