New Jersey A755 establishes notice and compensation requirements for residential tenants displaced for renovation.

New Jersey A755 mandates that landlords provide written notice to tenants at least one month before requesting their departure for renovation purposes. The notice must detail the circumstances under which a landlord can evict a tenant for renovation and clarify that eviction is not allowed unless these circumstances are met. If a tenant is displaced for renovation, the landlord must compensate the tenant for the cost of a moving truck or van and 12 months' rent.
