New Jersey A660 requires prospective security employees of the New Jersey Transit Corporation to undergo criminal history background checks and fingerprinting. The corporation cannot hire individuals unless no disqualifying criminal record is found. Prospective employees have 20 days to appeal a disqualification. Current security employees must wear photo identification cards at all times while on duty. The cards must include the employee's name, photograph, signature, issuance date, and proof of employment. Employees are prohibited from allowing others to use their identification cards.
