The aid is calculated as 50 percent of the difference between the per pupil State transportation aid and the actual cost of transporting nonpublic school students, multiplied by the number of eligible nonpublic school students. If the number of nonpublic school students exceeds that of public school students by 25 percent or more, the district receives 100 percent of this difference.
