Establishes Statewide framework for siting, land use approval, energy sourcing, water use, and environmental impacts of large load data center.

The "Responsible Data Center Development and Resource Protection Act" establishes Statewide framework concerning siting, land use approval, energy sourcing, water use, and environmental impacts of large load data center development. Specifically, this bill requires a developer of a large load data center, prior to applying for preliminary site plan or subdivision approval, to submit to the State Planning Commission a data center resource impact statement.
