New Jersey A527 requires toll road operators to allow drivers to choose towing companies.

New Jersey A527 amends the law to require the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the South Jersey Transportation Authority to adopt regulations allowing drivers on their toll roads to select a towing company for towing and storage services. The authorities may still award contracts for towing and storage of abandoned vehicles. The bill also mandates the Palisades Interstate Park Commission to adopt similar regulations for the Palisades Interstate Parkway and other roadways under its jurisdiction.
