Requires that fuel stations specify taxes levied on motor fuel sales.

Introduced·1/13/26
Introduced Text

New Jersey A526 mandates that fuel stations display the specific State and federal taxes on motor fuel sales at the pump.

New Jersey A526 amends current law to require that gas stations display the exact State and federal taxes levied on each unit of motor fuel for sale, on the gasoline pump apparatus. Currently, stations can alternatively state that the price displayed "Includes State and Federal Taxes," "Includes N.J. and U.S. Taxes," or "Includes all Taxes." This bill removes those alternatives and mandates that the unit price, including all taxes, be displayed on the pumping apparatus.
