The New Jersey Earn and Learn Program provides tax credits to employers for offering apprenticeships and paid internships. Employers can receive up to $3,000 per enrollee per year for up to three years. Additional credits of $1,000 are available for small businesses, minority-owned businesses, and if enrollees transition to full-time employment. The program aims to encourage workforce development and permanent job placements. The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, in consultation with other agencies, will oversee the program and report annually on its effectiveness.
