New Jersey A5152 allows unexpended funds from nonpublic school textbook aid or Nonpublic Technology Initiative to support the other program.

New Jersey A5152 amends existing law to permit unexpended funds from either the nonpublic school textbook aid program or the Nonpublic Technology Initiative to be used for the other program. Currently, if a school district's expenditures are less than the state aid received, the district must refund the unexpended aid. This bill allows the unexpended funds to be used for the other program instead, before any refund is required. The refund must still be made if the expenditures are less than the aid received, but no later than December 1 of the following school year.
