New Jersey A5115 establishes nutritional standards for children's meals and beverages served in chain restaurants and restaurants. The bill requires that children's meals adhere to specific nutritional criteria, including calorie limits, sodium, added sugars, saturated fat, and trans fat content. Fresh fruits or vegetables and lean proteins must also be included. Beverages served with children's meals must be water, sparkling water, flavored water with no added sweeteners, nonfat or low-fat dairy or non-dairy beverages, or 100% fruit or vegetable juice with no added sweeteners.
