The bill requires long-term care facilities to provide residents with a notice that they have the option to hire an attorney to assist with applying for Medicaid long-term care benefits. It prohibits owners, administrators, directors, officers, or employees of a long-term care facility, or any person or entity affiliated or related to them, from acting as an attorney-in-fact for a resident.
