New Jersey A5111 mandates hospitals with maternity departments to maintain Baby-Friendly and Mother-Friendly designations.

New Jersey A5111 requires all hospitals offering inpatient maternity services to maintain Baby-Friendly Hospital and Mother-Friendly Hospital designations. These designations must be issued by Baby-Friendly USA and the Improving Birth Coalition, respectively. The requirement will take effect two years after the bill's enactment, and failure to comply will result in the hospital losing its ability to provide inpatient maternity services.
