New Jersey A4987 allows qualified veterans' organizations to provide free PTSD counseling services to veterans and their family members.

New Jersey A4987 permits the Department of Veterans Affairs to allow qualified veterans' organizations to provide free post-traumatic stress disorder counseling services to veterans and their family members. Licensed clinicians will provide these services. The bill defines "family member" as a spouse, parent, sibling, child, or grandparent, whether of the whole or half blood or by adoption, legal guardian, romantic partner, or any person residing in the veteran’s household.
