Automatically approves air pollution control permits if not reviewed within 90 days.

The bill mandates that the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) review and approve or disapprove applications for air pollution control permits within 90 days. If the DEP fails to act on an application within this period, the application is automatically approved. The bill also allows for reduced administrative requirements for de minimis modifications of equipment and control apparatus in a 15-year plan. It provides for temporary operating certificates and outlines criteria for advances in air pollution control technology.
