A4955

Allows certain limited liability companies to terminate alternate names before end of five-year registration period.

Introduced·5/7/26

New Jersey A4955 allows certain limited liability companies to terminate alternate names before the end of the five-year registration period.

New Jersey A4955 amends the New Jersey Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act to allow a limited liability company to terminate an alternate name prior to the expiration date of the five-year registration period. This change aligns the treatment of limited liability companies with that of corporations, which already have this option. However, limited liability companies operating as residential landlords cannot terminate an alternate name before the five-year period ends.
