New Jersey A4950 establishes a grant program fund to support municipalities in creating senior snow removal programs; appropriates $2 million.

New Jersey A4950 establishes a nonlapsing fund in the Department of Community Affairs to provide grants to municipalities for creating and implementing local senior snow removal programs. The fund, known as the “Senior Snow Removal Grant Program Fund,” allocates up to $100,000 per municipality. Municipalities can establish these programs for snow and ice removal from residential properties occupied by seniors aged 62 or older with a household income not exceeding 65% of the area median income.
