The bill modifies driver testing and education requirements for persons with disabilities in New Jersey. It allows a person with a disability who is 16 years of age to obtain a passenger automobile examination permit prior to the age of 17 years regardless of whether the person completed a course of behind-the-wheel automobile driving education. It also permits a person with a disability to take the road test with a parent or guardian in the vehicle.
