Establishes the New Jersey Blue Ribbon Commission on Child Care to develop a strategy to strengthen and stabilize the State’s child care system.

This bill establishes the New Jersey Blue Ribbon Commission on Child Care within the Department of Children and Families. The commission, consisting of 13 members, will develop a comprehensive, Statewide strategy to strengthen and stabilize the child care system. The commission’s examination will include reviewing the State’s child care system, identifying systemic challenges, developing policy and funding recommendations, and outlining initiatives to support equitable, high-quality child care and early education systems.
