Withdraws New Jersey’s participation in Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative; repeals “Global Warming Response Act” and related sections of Regional.

This bill would withdraw New Jersey’s involvement in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), repeal the “Global Warming Response Act,” and amend various sections of statutory law related to its implementation. The bill would direct the Commissioner of Environmental Protection to issue a Notice of Withdrawal to the RGGI Memorandum of Understanding in order to formally revoke New Jersey’s agreement to participate in the RGGI program.
