Introduced Text

New Jersey A4779 mandates the Department of Environmental Protection to set a priority registration period for Island Beach State Park permits.

New Jersey A4779 requires the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to create a priority registration period for certain motor-vehicle access permits at Island Beach State Park. During this period, only New Jersey residents can apply for or purchase permits, such as mobile sport fishing and beach-driving permits. The DEP must restrict access to permit application systems to residents and verify residency through a New Jersey driver’s license or other state-issued identification. Applications from non-residents during this period will be denied, deferred, or voided.
