New Jersey A4744 allows certain local government officers and employees to receive payment for unused sick leave under specific conditions.

New Jersey A4744 permits political subdivisions, agencies, authorities, or instrumentalities to pay accumulated unused sick leave as supplemental compensation to officers and employees, excluding local boards of education. The payment cannot exceed three weeks of sick leave, must leave the employee with at least 100 working days of accumulated sick leave per year, and can occur only once per calendar year.
