New Jersey A4723 mandates that each public institution of higher education create a menstrual equity plan. This plan must address current efforts, needs, and access to menstrual products on campus, and identify best practices for achieving menstrual equity. The president of the institution can direct the Campus Hunger Task Force, convene a new task force, or establish an initiative to develop the plan. The plan must be submitted to the governing body, which will then forward it to the Governor and the Legislature. The plan must be implemented within 12 months of the act's effective date.
