Prohibits electric, gas, or water public utility service discontinuances to residential customers during certain epidemics.

New Jersey A4721 prohibits electric, gas, or water public utilities from discontinuing service to residential customers for nonpayment during an epidemic. This protection applies unless the utility experiences a public utility emergency. The bill requires utilities to resume service, as soon as practicable, to customers whose service was discontinued before the epidemic and who are located at the same residence.
