New Jersey A4703 requires the Department of Human Services to establish a Haitian Migrant Assistance Program. This program will provide social services and financial assistance to undocumented Haitian migrants who have been in the state for at least two years. Services include housing assistance, cash aid, legal referrals, budgeting education, clothing, and life skills training. The Department of Human Services may contract with community-based, faith-based, and non-profit organizations to deliver these services. The bill takes effect on the first day of the third month following enactment.
