New Jersey A4673 introduces requirements for inspecting windshield and window tint on motor vehicles. The bill prohibits driving a vehicle with tinted material on the windshield or front side windows, except for the top six inches of the windshield or above the AS-1 marking. Passenger automobiles and noncommercial trucks must undergo inspections for permissible window tint and emissions. A certificate of approval is only issued to vehicles that pass these inspections.
