Street rods are defined as vehicles manufactured before 1948 or after 1948 but made to resemble a vehicle from before 1949, altered from their original design, or constructed from non-original parts. Custom motor vehicles are defined as those at least 25 years old and of a model year after 1948, or made to resemble such a vehicle, and altered from the manufacturer's original design or constructed from non-original parts.
