Introduced Text

New Jersey A4507 mandates the Board of Public Utilities to discontinue the Infrastructure Investment Program.

New Jersey A4507 requires the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to discontinue the Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). The BPU is prohibited from accepting new IIP petitions or approving pending IIP petitions without conducting a full rate review. Public utilities with pending IIP petitions must either include their investment proposal in the next base rate case or provide all necessary information for a full rate review within 90 days of a board order. Failure to comply results in the petition being retracted and ineligible for independent consideration from the base rate case.
