Permits students not enrolled in public schools to participate in interscholastic athletics in their resident district.
This bill allows students in grades six through 12 who receive equivalent instruction outside of public schools, including those in charter schools, county vocational schools, or nonpublic schools, to participate in interscholastic sports in their resident district. These students must meet the same criteria as public school students, including eligibility requirements set by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.
