New Jersey A4386 allows municipalities to receive bonus credits for transitional housing reserved for veterans.

New Jersey A4386 permits municipalities to receive one credit and one bonus credit for each bedroom in transitional housing occupied by low or moderate income veterans. Transitional housing must be restricted for occupancy for at least 10 years and provide supportive services to help individuals and families move to permanent housing within 24 months. The bill defines "veteran" as a citizen and resident of New Jersey discharged from active service in the U.S. Armed Forces, excluding those discharged by court martial.
