Allows students to use part of their Educational Opportunity Fund grant during summer sessions.
This bill allows students to use a portion of their opportunity grant awards from the Educational Opportunity Fund program during the summer session for courses that fulfill graduation requirements or award credits in their academic major. Students must notify the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education of their intent to use the grant during the summer. The Secretary will adjust the amount of the grant that will be disbursed during the academic year and inform the student of the reduction.
