A4357

Extends certain pay parity regarding telemedicine and telehealth.

Introduced·2/19/26

New Jersey A4357 extends pay parity for telemedicine and telehealth services.

New Jersey A4357 makes permanent the requirement for health benefits plans to cover and pay for health care services delivered through telemedicine or telehealth at the same rate as in-person services. The bill mandates that reimbursement rates for telemedicine and telehealth services match those for identical in-person services, provided the services are covered by the health benefits plan. It also prohibits carriers from imposing restrictions on the location or setting of telemedicine and telehealth services, except to ensure the standard of care is maintained.
