Racetracks can reduce the number to 25 if the state does not fund horse racing purse subsidies or if the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association consents in writing. If the state provides less than $10 million but more than $5 million for purse subsidies, racetracks can reduce the number to 40. This bill amends existing law to allow for these reductions.
